HalluxSTOP EN

CompleVita Dygut & Piwowar presents the first of a series of products for the correction of static foot deformities (including hallux valgus) based on a new correction method. The main assumption is to restore the correct foot architecture with longitudinal and transverse arches, whose correct shape determines the restoration of the anatomic axes of the toes and recovery of their proper function.

The first device implemented is the HalluxSTOP (P.430145, US16884044, EP20020181.2) with the function of passive and dynamic correction of hallux valgus, often with coexisting transversely flat and flat-valgus foot. HalluxSTOP strengthens weakened and stretches contracted foot muscles restoring the physiological balance of muscle thrust. It has a dynamizing and relaxing function with tonus balancing between muscles, synergists and antagonists of the foot. In addition, it has a passive function of stretching extra-articular and articular contractures of the both hallux.

The device is used in preventing the development of the above-mentioned foot deformities and treatment inhibits their deepening and restores the physiological architecture of the feet conditioning their correct static function when standing and dynamic during walking.
HalluxSTOP device:
• reduces forefoot pain,
• significantly improves gait performance, especially in the propulsive phase,
• restores the aesthetics of the foot
• prevents recurrence the hallux valgus after surgical procedures.

Before warming-up exercises, it is an advisable foot bath in warm water (about 36-37 ° C) with salt. The optimal bath time is 15 minutes, and the salt concentration in the bath should be 10 tablespoons of salt per 5 liters of water. Children are recommended to use brine at a concentration of about 8 tablespoons of salt per 5 liters of water.

Exercises

Tips for all kinds of exercises:
• The diameters of the loops fitted on the big toes must not be too small. To prevent ischemia they must not tightly clamp the big toes. Try to make your toes lose their valgus when stretching. Avoid hypercorrection with excessive big toe abduction (excessive toe pull towards the rod).
• Try to compress the ball symmetrically so that the rod is in the middle all the time (it does not tilt to either side).
• During and after exercises, you can feel muscle fatigue not only in the lower limbs but also the abdomen
